Our goal as naked illusionists is to pick apart simple realities and create the kind of art that forces those who experience it to explore it to the core. We don't want to confuse viewers, but to expose them to daring and creative work that isn't as straightforward. We intend to surprise our audience with something new each time. Our art is not intended to merely distort their senses, but enlighten and excite them. Once our creations are out there for people to experience, it will be up to the audience to do some work, but we will have nothing to hide.
We call ourselves the Naked Illusionists, instead of the Naked Illusion, to emphasize that we all individually have our own talents to bring to the theatrical playground. We are the kind of group that intends to work as a unit every time. Our diversity will be utilized as our strength. By the end of the course, we hope to have brought something new to the table. As The Naked Illusionists we plan to turn heads and create art that will be remembered for being outlandish, daring, and unforgettable.
